Privacy Policy

Effective date: July 28, 2026

SpeakRun keeps your app data local. The app has no accounts, advertising, third-party analytics, or VantureCap-operated app servers, and VantureCap does not collect personal data through the app.

Information Stored on Your Device

SpeakRun stores custom passages, best scores, play counts, and streak information locally on your device. This information is not uploaded to VantureCap.

You can delete custom passages, progress, streaks, and temporary SpeakRun recordings from the Privacy & Data screen in the app. Deleting the app also removes its locally stored app data. Videos previously saved to Photos are managed separately in the Photos app.

Camera, Microphone, and Recordings

If you grant permission, SpeakRun uses the front camera and microphone during a reading session to create a performance recording. A visible recording indicator appears while recording is active.

Audio and video files are held temporarily on the device while SpeakRun creates the finished result video. SpeakRun does not upload those files. A recording leaves the app only when you explicitly use an Apple system sharing option or save it to Photos.

Speech Recognition

SpeakRun uses Apple’s Speech framework to recognize the words you read. SpeakRun requests on-device recognition when it is available. Depending on the device, language, and service availability, Apple may process speech through its speech recognition service. VantureCap does not receive or store speech-recognition data.

Apple handles information it receives under Apple’s Privacy Policy.

Photos and Text Recognition

When you choose a photo, Apple’s photo picker gives SpeakRun access only to the item you select. When you take a new photo, SpeakRun uses the camera with your permission. Text recognition is performed on the device using Apple Vision. The selected image and recognized text are not uploaded to VantureCap.

SpeakRun asks for add-only Photos access only if you choose Save to Photos for a finished video.

Tracking and Third Parties

SpeakRun does not track you across apps or websites. It does not include advertising SDKs, third-party analytics SDKs, or social-network SDKs.

Support Communications

If you email support, VantureCap receives the email address, message, and any files you choose to send. This information is used to respond to your request, investigate the issue, prevent abuse, and maintain necessary support records. It is not sold or used for advertising.

Do not send passwords, government identifiers, or other information that support does not need. Review and redact screenshots before attaching them.

Children’s Privacy

SpeakRun does not knowingly collect personal information from children or anyone else through the app. A parent or guardian should supervise a child’s decision to record or share a video and should review the device’s camera, microphone, speech-recognition, and Photos permissions.

Changes to This Policy

If SpeakRun’s privacy practices change, this policy and the App Store privacy information will be updated before the changed version is released. The effective date above identifies the current version.
